Determining the correct value of LCʀʀ

I have a question about the difference in approach between the HCM 2000 and the HCM 2022 exhibits, when defining the value of a two-sided weaving segment configuration parameter. What should be the correct value of LCʀʀ for the weaving segment shown in Exhibit 13-14(b), page 13-18, of HCM 2000? Would this value be LCʀʀ = 2 or LCʀʀ = 3? And why would it be?
